Community.
WITHOUT COMPROMISE.
I started Robinson Property Maintenance by helping my family with home repairs and remodels. There was something different about the sense of satisfaction I got compared to my 9 to 5 job. I then decided the mission statement would be - Community first. I see you at the grocery store, picking my kids up at the school, and at the restaurants in town. I want to feel comfortable striking up a conversation, not ducking for cover. It helps me strive for a high quality of work, striving to add value in any way I can. We are a business- if we put the community first, everything else will follow.

Your Handyman Questions Answered
1. How much does a handyman charge per hour?
Answer: Handyman rates can vary depending on factors such as location, the complexity of the job, and the handyman's experience. On average, you can expect to pay between $50 to $100 per hour for handyman services. However, some handymen may charge a flat rate for certain tasks or offer discounted rates for larger projects. It's best to request quotes from multiple handymen to compare prices and find one that fits your budget.
Our Tip: Request Specifics with the quote. Not all parts and accessories are equal. You want to know what brand of faucet will be installed so you can do research to see if it is any good. You can also request specific brands yourself.
2. What types of jobs can a handyman do?
Answer: Handymen are skilled in a wide range of tasks, including general repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, fixture installation, and more. From small home maintenance tasks to larger renovation projects, handymen can tackle various jobs around your home. If you're unsure whether a handyman can assist with your specific needs, don't hesitate to reach out and inquire about their services.
Our Tip: We have jobs that we believe should be left to qualified individuals. Large plumbing and electrical jobs should be left to individuals certified by the state. As a general rule, if you touch it regularly a handyman can fix it (toilet, faucet, sprinklers, lights, ceiling fans, outlets, light switches).
3. Is hiring a handyman worth it?
Answer: Hiring a handyman can be a cost-effective and efficient solution for many homeowners. Handymen are versatile professionals who can handle multiple tasks, saving you time and effort compared to attempting to DIY or hiring specialized contractors for each job. Additionally, hiring a handyman can help ensure that repairs and improvements are done correctly the first time, reducing the likelihood of future issues and costly repairs.
Our Tip: Check out our Kids In The Community and DIY pages to see if you can find a deal before giving us a call!
4. How do I find a reliable handyman near me?
Answer: Finding a reliable handyman requires some research and due diligence. Start by asking for recommendations from friends, family, or neighbors who have had positive experiences with handymen in your area. You can also search online directories or platforms that list local handymen and read reviews from previous customers. When contacting potential handymen, be sure to ask about their experience, certifications, and references to ensure they are qualified and trustworthy.
Our Tip: Verify that the handyman carries insurance that will cover your home in the event of an accident. The more digging into handyman companies you do will help ensure your home is in good hands. (get it? hands.... HANDyman! Sorry, I like dad jokes!)
